OMW! Kids are blessings?

Ok, so do you want to know what happens when you (in a kind gesture) give your children 30 wacky wall walkers that you had left over from a party...well I have the answer. Here it is-

Ok, so I know it doesn't have quite the same impact as if you were to see it in person, not to mention that I couldn't get the entire ceiling in the shot, but it felt like someone had sneezed on the ceiling and I admit that I felt uneasy walking around in there as if something was about to jump on me. This is what it looks like once I actually got it all off the ceiling and into a trash can!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Final Day!

Well here it is, the last creation for this years Sale-A-Bration. Please email me your creations and lets all share our creations and inspiration with each other. Hope you enjoy the final card, let me know what you think. :)

This was made with the Friendship Blooms SAB set. I used Always Artichoke Cardstock for the card base, and Spring Fling Designer Series Paper. I accented with the floral image in the set stamping onto Mellow Moss and Vellum Cardstock using White Staz-on ink. I used the same ink for the whimsical accents on the side of the card. I punched out the smaller floral images using the 1" circle punch. I stamped the word FRIENDSHIP on Mellow Moss cardstock and punch them out with the small and large oval punches. I added some white dots around the large oval shape using a white gel pen. This is a nice simple low key card- which by the way has NO glitter- gasp!!!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 8-12

OK,Ok...so yes I have been slacking a BIT. I am not the BEST at updating this EVERYDAY, although I though by making these posts daily I would get in the habit, but no such luck! I am so sorry that I have made you wait for these...but here are 8-12 for your viewing enjoyment. :)

This card was so fun and easy, I used Rose Red Cardstock for the card base, Regal Rose cardstock stamped with a polka dot background using Rose Red Ink. I also used Old Olive cardstock and ink (for the phrase), then simply tied a knot in my ribbon and wrapped it around the card. I stamped the flower from Friendship Bloom, cut it out and mounted it with demensionals. If you look at the flower it is COVERED in glitter, you cant forget that! Simple as 1, 2, 3.

This Card only took me a few moments. Soft Sky
cardstock is used for the base. I used Purely Pomegranate cardstock for the base square. I made 4 squares of designer series paper (using ginger blossoms here) and then cut them diagonally (twice) to make the triangle. I stamped on of my So Many Scallops stamps with Soft Sky and Groovy Guava ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I punched the Soft Sky image out with the scallop punch, and the groovy guava one out with the 1" circle punch, then I mounted them on top of each other and adhered with a dimensional. Before I mounted the large centerpiece square I placed a single piece of 5/8" white grosgrain ribbon down the center and cut on a diagonal. Then I mounted the large centerpiece with dimensionals. Now it's your turn! :) Gasp- no glitter!

This card was done mostly with our designer series paper (Berry Bliss). I used Pretty in Pink cardstock as my card base, little flowers (made with the matching Boho West floral punch), and for the scallop in the center. I took a large piece of the designer series paper and cut it diagonally and covered 1/2 of the card. I then cut anther coordinating piece for the center of the card. I stamped the Sweet One scallop image onto Creamy Caramel cardstock using white craft ink. I cut out the image and mounted it with dimensionals onto the scallop. I then filled in the moon shape with OF COURSE glitter! I attached the little flowers and used GLITTER in the centers. Oh yeah, I also put glitter on each petal of the scallop circle as well. You can never have enough glitter- well maybe you can. :)

This card uses many of the same colors and the same Designer Series paper as the one above (Berry Bliss). I used Pretty In Pink cardstock for my base, and layered it with the Designer Paper. I used Chocolate Chip cardstock as my square centerpiece base, and layered it with another piece of the Berry Bliss paper. I used Pretty in Pink CS for my scallop punch and Chocolate Chip cardstock for the center (stamped with white craft ink) using the Lots of Thoughts stamp set. Before attaching my centerpiece I wrapped the card in this adorable dotted ribbon. There IS glitter on the petals of the scallop circle, cant forget that twice!

This was an ADORABLE card I got at the Stamposium this year. I do not remember who I got it from but this is not made by me and cant take credit for it. They used Whisper white cardstock as the base, and using the paper pack that was offered in the last catalog she cut 4 small squares of the different papers and adhered then to the base. She stamped the image from the So Many Scallops set onto Whisper White CS and punched it out with the scallop punch and placed a vintage brad in the center. It is mounted to the card using dimensionals and is simple and CUTE!

Stamp Camp FUN!!!

The Sale-A-Bration Stamp Camp that we held this weekend was such a success. We had a BLAST! There were door prizes, free stamps and everyone got to make the most adorable projects. I think the one thing we will do next time is not have as many projects but have everyone make 2 of each item they make. This way they can keep one and give one away. We had such a good time and thank all of the fine, fun ladies that made it to this years SAB Stamp Camp. We hope to see you again next year. Don't fret me and my Demo friends (Carlyse and Susan) are already planning on putting together another stamp camp soon! Hope you can make it!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 7

This was such a FUN card to make. I got the idea from one of my favorite blogs kwernerdeign, her blog is AMAZING!!! I used Mellow Moss as the card base, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron cardstock and Spring Fling Designer Series Paper. I used the 1" circle punch for the windows, and Karen has a tutorial on her blog as to a trick about lining up those circles so they look right. ;) It is COOL! I used dimensionals to raise up the pink cardstock piece for a window effect. I wrapped the Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon and OF COURSE I added Glitter!!!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 6

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I think this card is so simple and fun! I used Real Red cardstock as the card base, then a layer of Wild Wasabi on top. I used Prep School Designer Series paper on top of the Wild Wasabi and then wrapped the entire card with Pumpkin grosgrain ribbon. I did a double scallop with Tempting Turquoise classic ink and Wild Wasabi cardstock. I then layered the Happy Birthday that is on Whisper White on top of a Real Red cardstock circle. I love the little extra ribbon pieces that mimic leaves for the scallop flower- thingy. :) The best part for me...there is glitter on the flames of the candles- GOTTA LOVE THAT GLITTER!!! Hope you enjoy and see you soon for another card. Don't forget there is only about a week left before Sale-A-Bration ends and these stamps are gone FOREVER. Call me today to place your order!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 5

I know this is late but I was at my FABULOUS stamp camp last night and was not able to get a post up of the new card. :) Forgive me. But this one was made with the Purely Pomegranate as the card base and the Ginger Blossom Designer series Paper. I just LOVE these Sale-A-Bration stamps, they are so fun. I also added a bit of ribbon (white grosgrain that I dyed with the re-inker) for that little embellishment. I love using designer paper on my cards, it really make the whole process super fast but it looks like you spent a ton of time on them! LOVE that fact. Hope you enjoy and stay tuned for pics of more cards and stamp camp photos.

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 4

This card was so much fun. I actually got to break out a package of Christmas themed Designer Paper that had NOT even been opened yet- CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! So I really enjoyed this. I used Sage Shadow as my card base, which I also liked because I RARELY use that color and never thought I really liked it- UNTIL I used it on this card...now I am hooked! I know it is hard to see from the picture, but I used Shimmery White Cardstock on the side and again for the scalloped embellishment. I layered the scalloped image by stamping it 3 different times on the Shimmery White and Sage Cardstock. I used the Scallop, 1 1/4" and 1" Circle punch for that embellishment. Before I layered the card I took a sponge and gave the card some dimension by sponging the edges of the card, designer paper, and the Shimmery White cardstock with Sage Shadow Ink. I finished it all off with some Olive satin ribbon to separate the colors. Oh yeah, the card base is 4.25x11 and folded in half, then I cut 1/2" off one of the ends for the fancy fold. hope you enjoy!

SAB Cards, Day 3

This card was so fun to make. I used the school prep Designer Series Paper as the background. I love the color scheme of this paper! the card base is Tempting Turquoise and then I also used Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, and Real Red. I used my Coluzzle to cut out the ovals and then my corner round punch to create the scallop edge. I stamped (with Versamark) the cake on Real Red cardstock and popped it up with dimensionals. I used the red gingham ribbon, and what card is actually complete without BLING! I know it is hard to see BUT it is ALL over this card. The polka-dots are glittered, the cake is glittered, the ovals are glittered, the sentiment is glittered, oh yea and the candles and flames are glittered! I love the sparkle, :)! Don't you just love my finger nail in every pic...yeah, I really took the time to take good pics- NOT! Thanks for looking.

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 2

This card was SUPER fun and I think turned out quite well. I used Tempting Turquoise as the card base, Wild Wasabi, Pixie Pink, and Whisper White cardstock. Once I stamped the balloons I took my paper piercer and made a small hole at the bottom of the balloons. I curled the wire on the end of my paper piercer and then un-coiled it to give me a more flowing ringlet look. ;) I placed a glue dot on the back of the white card stock where the base of the balloons would be and once I ran my wire through I adhered it to the glue dot. I punched 2 slots on either side of the gathered wire near the base of the card and ran the ribbon through to hold the wire into place. I then (of course) put stickles on EVERYTHING, because if it doesn't glitter it's just not done! Man I wish you could see this move in the light- BEE-UTIFUL! Anyway I hope you like it and look forward to tomorrow. :)

Lucky #13, Day 1

Ok, so you may or may not know that I am really crappy at posting everyday, so in an effort to get better at it I have devised a plan. This weekend, as I was prepping for the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Camp that I am hosting on Friday night, I was making my 13 card samples for my display board. I am going to post one card each day for you to see, these are all featuring the stamps that are available in the Sale-A-Bration Mini Catalog- that you can only get for FREE by placing a $50+ order. For every $50 you spend you get a free set, or a package of rub-on's. Here we go!

This was a FUN card t make. I used a transparency sheet as my card base. I put a 4x5.25 size of Real Red cardstock on the inside (not only for writing, but to give some boundaries to the card). I used white staz-on on the front of the acetate. I stamped the phrase on the Real Red cardstock (inside). I then stamped out on Whisper White cardstock some extra flowers and after cutting them out I adhered them to the card with little glue dots. I loved the way this card turned out. I am going to have to do this for a class project SOON!

My NEW favorite Toy

This is my new toy, the NEW Crop-A-Dile II "Big Bite". I have not had time to sit and play with it yet, but I saw it on HSN and HAD to have it! They showed some amazing things done with it. For instance you can get into the middle of a 12x12 page, this thing reaches 6" in on anything. The mouth of it is wider so you can fir it over the lip of a tin bucket and CD case. You can punch through ANYTHING- metal, leather, cardstock, and much more. There are also settings for different size eyelets and GROMMETS and you can not only punch out the holes with this device but set them too! It is amazing. My goal is to get some time this week to make some projects using this COOL TOOL! Ok, so I had to be creative to take this picture with one hand and to actually use it in the other...I get a little sea sick looking at it too. But see how you can pick it up and use it like your old style CAD- it is (or at least feels like it) not any heavier than the old version of this tool. Lets see if I can give you a glimpse of the settings...

I don't know if you can see it, but this is the setting for actually setting eyelets and grommets. I cant seem to load the other pic right now either. Well chew on this for a while and I hope to be back before the end of the week with more. ;)
