I LOVE SPOOKY TIMES!!!!

I am so excited to make these adorable items for my kids teachers for Halloween. I am waiting trying to be patient on our new home to be finished and decided to get going to my classes and events. I was told by our builder the other day that they wont have the house done until mid to late November...OH NO!!!! I almost cried when I heard that, although now I am trying to be positive, so I drug out all my stamp stuff and making progress with my time...all of it. :(

So first project on hand are Teacher's Gifts for Halloween... here is what I am making...I have made 3 different sizes for myself already and I LOVE making them, they are super easy and SO cute!!! I hope to be better at updating my blog almost daily now...I will have plenty of time. :) Hope you enjoy!!!

Get Along, Lil' Doggie...

Well, so I know I said I would post more about Convention shortly, however life has a way of getting in the way... So my husband has been offered a job in Texas and we have decided to pick up and relocate to the LONE STAR STATE. We will be leaving our beautiful home in Colorado at the end of Aug. for our new home in San Antonio. This is a picture of the model home of our exact floor plan. I am looking forward to having a new home with all the colors and textures that I personally have chosen. Here is what the front of the home looks like.
I love the warm look of the house and my favorite part, the flower box on the second floor window. I just love that touch.
This is the breakfast/sun room area. I know it is kind of hard to see the sitting area back there, but it is cute!
This is what our new kitchen will look like, we choose the same cabinet and counter top colors...but our floors are different.
I can't wait to sit in that tub (which by the way has jets, and is deep enough to cover ALL of me) I am SOOOOO looking forward to that, but I wont have it until around Oct-ish.
This is what my house looks like now...can you believe in a matter of weeks this will be transformed to a completed home. I will update as soon as we get there to see what progress has taken place.

Convention, SO INCREADIBLE!!!!

IT WAS SOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!! Ok, so the FIRST wrist band that they showed for a door prize was MINE!!! I didn't win a thing last year and this year was SO different, I got some much FREE stuff it was AWESOME!!! I had a blast. I won the scallop edge punch and package of DSP and a stamp set...I don't remember what it was called because I had to ship a ton of stuff that I won and bought since my bag wouldn't hold it all, and it has not made it home yet. :( I can't wait till it gets here! This is a sneak peak of what Phase 2 of the Decor Elements will look like, can we say our signature designer colors and even more ADORABLE shapes and variety!!! I can't wait! I will be sharing more photos of these items later in the week for you to preview, MAN do I LOVE the wall decor!!! Wait till you see the other idea's they came up with.
This was me trying to get a pic of my BUDS and my cousin was talking (I think) before I snapped it, it was just so darn funny I HAD to put it in, when she sees it she will kill me! Although she has a pic that she might post of me that is pretty funny as well, I will have to wait and see. :)
Now, those are some FUN gals!! We were so sleep deprived and dehydrated that we usually had head aches and dozed off in a few classes and had to be nudged by one or the other, but even with that we had a BLAST and would do it over and over again!

Convention Continued...

These were my BUDS at Convention, on the right of me (I am in the pink *grin*) is my cousin Shannon (this was her first Convention and she had a BLAST and on the left is my Demo friend Carlyse (she adopted me at my first Convention last year when I went alone and she befriended me- she is a sweetie!!!!) This is a small glimpse of what 6000 demo's look like when they are trying to swap cards, dance, get a glimpse of Jaren, and catch up with old friends!!
The BIG Give away at the last General Session!!! EVERYONE got a RMHC (Ronald McDonald House) stamp set "Say it with Scallops" This set is adorable and seriously it felt like we were on Oprah's "My Favorite Things" Show!!!
The last thing we did was head to the SU! Home office where we took photos of us in front of and on top of the SU! Sign. We actually were being honked at while we were taking these. The other gals were amazed that I was able to make it up there without killing myself or messing up my pedicure. :) Although if you lean to far back you fall right off...

Where in the World is Erin??

Ok, so it has been almost a month since my last post...I have no real GOOD excuse other than I have not felt *REAL* creative. I am not really sure why but I assume it is because since my kids are out of school, I don't have a ton of personal free time. I work M-Wed during the week so when I am off on Thurs. and Fri. I feel that I should do fun things with them since they are stuck in the house with my while I work. So no *ME* time, at least until school starts. Although I did come across this picture on another blog a few months ago, and I get a kick out of it EVERY time I see it, so I thought I would share. I am counting down the days until CONVENTION!!! I am super excited and trying to get everything done and printed before so I DON"T forget a thing!!! If I get a chance I will post something crafty later this week...HOPEFULLY!!! :)

EDIT: I almost forgot...TOMORROW Stampin' Up! will post all the RETIRING ACCESSORIES LIST, I will send them to you (if you are on my mailing list) via email first thing tomorrow! I can not wait, and I know you will want to grab the items you want ASAP because unlike the stamps once the items on the accessories list are sold out, they do not re-stock, so they are gone for good. Believe me that could be MUCH sooner than 8/10, when the current catalog expires. So email or call me with your orders to me ASAP to avoid missing out.

Last of My Convention Swaps...

These are the last 2 final swaps I am doing for Convention/SCS Dinner swap. I am still deciding and waiting to hear how many i will need for the Dinner Swap. I made 50 of each card and 30 of the 3-D items. I will defiantly swap the candy purses at Convention and more than likely one one or 2 of the cards. I used the PARTY HEARTY set that I earned after Regionals for my swaps for SCS, I love that little set! It is so cute and I could have done more but I wont have any time between now and convention to get any more cards done, which is why I had to finish them now. I hope you enjoy and please do not case for Convention or SCS dinner. Thanks for looking!

**Edited: Oh Yeah, BTW I got the original idea for this candy purse from Dawn's Blog, I love her tutorials, and I tweaked it a little to make them small enough to swap. :)

Gorcery Game- AMAZING!

Ok, so if you are in a total $$ crunch as I am, with the cost of gas getting ready to hit over $4 a gallon, then you will love this as much as I do. There is this website called The Grocery Game, which saves you a TON of $$!! Who can pass that up. So here is how it works...

For your trial period (which I think is like 4 or 8 weeks, cant remember) it only costs $1, and please if/when you sign up put me down as your referral (eringonzales@comcast.net) because you earn free weeks when you refer people to sign up. After your trial period it is $10 for every 8 weeks for your membership- a great deal!

Basically when you sign up you choose a grocery store (or more than one if you want) in your area...and each week you will get a customized list for that particular store. The list is categorized to match the layout of the store (the only store I found this not to be the case with is Safeway) which makes shopping FAST and easy! Then you go through the list and select the items that you wish to get and pull aside the coupons for that particular week and then once you hit the register hand them your pile of coupons and viola- easy as that!

Ok, so some additional details...when you see your list you will notice that it is broken down into Blue, Green, and Black items. The Blue and Green are ROCK BOTTOM prices and you should stock up on these items as a type of food storage. This way you are stocking up on these items while they are on MAJOR sale. The black items are still a great deal but you are advised only to get the black items only if you NEED them.

This system does require you to cut and organize coupons in order to save the most $$. I was NEVER a fan of coupons until this system came along. It takes all the guess work out of it and if I can manage it then anyone can! When you sign up the website tells you how to organize your coupons (they break categories down to Beverages, Cereals, Frozen items, Snacks, Toiletries, etc.) so that when it is time to retrieve them it is super easy to find them! I go through the Sunday paper coupons every week and cut out any coupon I think I might use- ever...you may not use it this week but you probably will in the upcoming weeks. If you have friends that never use their coupons- get theirs...you can use multiples of the same coupon. The list that you get every week will list all the coupons that you will need for just that week- it is so easy!

Each week I save somewhere between 45%-69% on my grocery bill. It is amazing! My first week I spent $86 out of pocket on a total bill that was $170! The second week I saved $152 and spent $120 out of pocket giving me a total bill that was $272- can you believe it almost $300 in groceries for just $120...by the 4th week I had NO MORE room in either one of my 2 freezers for meat or anything else. I have an amazing food storage that we dwindle down and then on the weeks that i have too much food we only get necessities from the store...I LOVE THIS SITE!!! try it out and see what you think. I would love to hear your feedback on this as well- have you tried it?

Convention Swaps...at least so far~

These are the cards that I am making so far for my convention/SCS swaps. I ask that you please NOT CASE these cards for your convention or SCS swaps. :) I LOVE these cards, my most favorite blog kwernerdesign is such an inspiration to me!!! She did similar cards, I use hers for template design, and I love how simple but complex they look. Just perfect for swaps when you have to make a million! The first card uses the PARTY HEARTY set that will be in the NEW catalog that we will receive at convention. The second card uses Wonderful Favorites and Holiday Blitz set, I think the only thing I wish I could add more of with out being tacky was BLING- glitter, shine, something...I have to look at these a little longer to see how I can "BLING THEM UP!" :) If I make more changes I will post those as well. I might make a few more cards to swap, I am just not sure...I don't really need more than 100 cards to come home with, but I LOVE to swap. Oh what a dilemma...I guess we will all have to wait to see what I decide. :)

Drum Roll Please.....

This is the FORMAL announcement of my newly finished BLOG STORE, please check it out. I know it is somewhat long and takes a little time to navigate BUT hopefully you will find items that you will like on it. I did it all myself, so I wont be surprised if there are mistakes or glitches- which I am hoping there are not BUT you never are sure. :) I know that the URL is different than the name for the store but I had not thought that through before I got them both...they were bought and assigned at different times in the process. :) These are items that I sell at the craft fairs that I do throughout the year and I thought I might try and sell them via the Internet to see if I can make a go at it that way too. :) I hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave your feedback!

OMW! Kids are blessings?

Ok, so do you want to know what happens when you (in a kind gesture) give your children 30 wacky wall walkers that you had left over from a party...well I have the answer. Here it is-

Ok, so I know it doesn't have quite the same impact as if you were to see it in person, not to mention that I couldn't get the entire ceiling in the shot, but it felt like someone had sneezed on the ceiling and I admit that I felt uneasy walking around in there as if something was about to jump on me. This is what it looks like once I actually got it all off the ceiling and into a trash can!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Final Day!

Well here it is, the last creation for this years Sale-A-Bration. Please email me your creations and lets all share our creations and inspiration with each other. Hope you enjoy the final card, let me know what you think. :)

This was made with the Friendship Blooms SAB set. I used Always Artichoke Cardstock for the card base, and Spring Fling Designer Series Paper. I accented with the floral image in the set stamping onto Mellow Moss and Vellum Cardstock using White Staz-on ink. I used the same ink for the whimsical accents on the side of the card. I punched out the smaller floral images using the 1" circle punch. I stamped the word FRIENDSHIP on Mellow Moss cardstock and punch them out with the small and large oval punches. I added some white dots around the large oval shape using a white gel pen. This is a nice simple low key card- which by the way has NO glitter- gasp!!!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 8-12

OK,Ok...so yes I have been slacking a BIT. I am not the BEST at updating this EVERYDAY, although I though by making these posts daily I would get in the habit, but no such luck! I am so sorry that I have made you wait for these...but here are 8-12 for your viewing enjoyment. :)

This card was so fun and easy, I used Rose Red Cardstock for the card base, Regal Rose cardstock stamped with a polka dot background using Rose Red Ink. I also used Old Olive cardstock and ink (for the phrase), then simply tied a knot in my ribbon and wrapped it around the card. I stamped the flower from Friendship Bloom, cut it out and mounted it with demensionals. If you look at the flower it is COVERED in glitter, you cant forget that! Simple as 1, 2, 3.

This Card only took me a few moments. Soft Sky
cardstock is used for the base. I used Purely Pomegranate cardstock for the base square. I made 4 squares of designer series paper (using ginger blossoms here) and then cut them diagonally (twice) to make the triangle. I stamped on of my So Many Scallops stamps with Soft Sky and Groovy Guava ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I punched the Soft Sky image out with the scallop punch, and the groovy guava one out with the 1" circle punch, then I mounted them on top of each other and adhered with a dimensional. Before I mounted the large centerpiece square I placed a single piece of 5/8" white grosgrain ribbon down the center and cut on a diagonal. Then I mounted the large centerpiece with dimensionals. Now it's your turn! :) Gasp- no glitter!

This card was done mostly with our designer series paper (Berry Bliss). I used Pretty in Pink cardstock as my card base, little flowers (made with the matching Boho West floral punch), and for the scallop in the center. I took a large piece of the designer series paper and cut it diagonally and covered 1/2 of the card. I then cut anther coordinating piece for the center of the card. I stamped the Sweet One scallop image onto Creamy Caramel cardstock using white craft ink. I cut out the image and mounted it with dimensionals onto the scallop. I then filled in the moon shape with OF COURSE glitter! I attached the little flowers and used GLITTER in the centers. Oh yeah, I also put glitter on each petal of the scallop circle as well. You can never have enough glitter- well maybe you can. :)

This card uses many of the same colors and the same Designer Series paper as the one above (Berry Bliss). I used Pretty In Pink cardstock for my base, and layered it with the Designer Paper. I used Chocolate Chip cardstock as my square centerpiece base, and layered it with another piece of the Berry Bliss paper. I used Pretty in Pink CS for my scallop punch and Chocolate Chip cardstock for the center (stamped with white craft ink) using the Lots of Thoughts stamp set. Before attaching my centerpiece I wrapped the card in this adorable dotted ribbon. There IS glitter on the petals of the scallop circle, cant forget that twice!

This was an ADORABLE card I got at the Stamposium this year. I do not remember who I got it from but this is not made by me and cant take credit for it. They used Whisper white cardstock as the base, and using the paper pack that was offered in the last catalog she cut 4 small squares of the different papers and adhered then to the base. She stamped the image from the So Many Scallops set onto Whisper White CS and punched it out with the scallop punch and placed a vintage brad in the center. It is mounted to the card using dimensionals and is simple and CUTE!

Stamp Camp FUN!!!

The Sale-A-Bration Stamp Camp that we held this weekend was such a success. We had a BLAST! There were door prizes, free stamps and everyone got to make the most adorable projects. I think the one thing we will do next time is not have as many projects but have everyone make 2 of each item they make. This way they can keep one and give one away. We had such a good time and thank all of the fine, fun ladies that made it to this years SAB Stamp Camp. We hope to see you again next year. Don't fret me and my Demo friends (Carlyse and Susan) are already planning on putting together another stamp camp soon! Hope you can make it!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 7

This was such a FUN card to make. I got the idea from one of my favorite blogs kwernerdeign, her blog is AMAZING!!! I used Mellow Moss as the card base, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron cardstock and Spring Fling Designer Series Paper. I used the 1" circle punch for the windows, and Karen has a tutorial on her blog as to a trick about lining up those circles so they look right. ;) It is COOL! I used dimensionals to raise up the pink cardstock piece for a window effect. I wrapped the Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon and OF COURSE I added Glitter!!!

March 8, 2008

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 6

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I think this card is so simple and fun! I used Real Red cardstock as the card base, then a layer of Wild Wasabi on top. I used Prep School Designer Series paper on top of the Wild Wasabi and then wrapped the entire card with Pumpkin grosgrain ribbon. I did a double scallop with Tempting Turquoise classic ink and Wild Wasabi cardstock. I then layered the Happy Birthday that is on Whisper White on top of a Real Red cardstock circle. I love the little extra ribbon pieces that mimic leaves for the scallop flower- thingy. :) The best part for me...there is glitter on the flames of the candles- GOTTA LOVE THAT GLITTER!!! Hope you enjoy and see you soon for another card. Don't forget there is only about a week left before Sale-A-Bration ends and these stamps are gone FOREVER. Call me today to place your order!

Sale-A-Brations Cards, Day 5

I know this is late but I was at my FABULOUS stamp camp last night and was not able to get a post up of the new card. :) Forgive me. But this one was made with the Purely Pomegranate as the card base and the Ginger Blossom Designer series Paper. I just LOVE these Sale-A-Bration stamps, they are so fun. I also added a bit of ribbon (white grosgrain that I dyed with the re-inker) for that little embellishment. I love using designer paper on my cards, it really make the whole process super fast but it looks like you spent a ton of time on them! LOVE that fact. Hope you enjoy and stay tuned for pics of more cards and stamp camp photos.
